Location: Nara city, in Nara Park
Besides the deer, another thing to see in Nara is this daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall) in Todaiji (東大寺), the largest wooden building in the world, which also houses the world’s largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana.
Gotta admit though, Nara isn’t my most favourite city, partly because of my feet were kinda hurt due to the walking and also the rain. And I couldn’t find the kamameshi (釜飯) shop that I wanted to try. :(
How To Get There
- Take a loop bus (or walk) to Nara Park From JR Nara station (奈良駅) or Kintetsu Nara station (近鉄奈良駅)
- Kintetsu Nara station (近鉄奈良駅) is nearer to the park ;)
