Shojin Ryori: Breakfast

Posted on 28 March 2012

Travel Date: 2 November 2010
Location: Eko-in, Mt Koya

The breakfast served in the room after the morning meditation session: slice of yummy Mt Koya tofu-cake thingy, some nice green vegetables, seaweed, Japanese pickles, soup, and rice. The portion is kinda small for me and it didn’t taste as good as the dinner served last night. But that’s probably because of me started to get tired of Japanese food after having them for the past 5 days or so – really miss things like nasi lemak, carbonara, or even McDonald’s by now.
