Travel Date: 2 November 2010
Location: Mt Koya

Kongobuji (金剛峯寺) is the only other place that I visited in Mt Koya besides Okunoin. The temple is pretty impressive, along with its Banryutei (蟠龍庭) rock garden – the largest in Japan, and probably the most beautiful one I’ve seen so far. More info regarding Kongobuji.

Banryutei rock garden (蟠龍庭), Japan's largest. Beautiful.

Lovely garden art

How To Get There

  • By Nankai Rinkan Bus. Basically the buses go to every popular sightseeing spot.
