Kongobuji (金剛峯寺) has a beautiful and the largest rock garden in Japan. And a nice kitchen too.
I came back to this place to enjoy more graveyards walk and the amazing autumn colours, without the rain this time! :)

Shall end the first day of temples hopping in Kyoto with a tour in this futuristic looking Kyoto Station – the second-largest train station building in Japan.
Final two temples of the day: the rock garden Ryoanji and the Golden Pavilion Kinkakuji! Plus a bike rental shop nearby.
Riding on Raku bus #102 from Ginkakuji to Kinkakuji with a bunch of primary school students.
In someways, the shops on the street that leads to Ginkakuji is more interesting than the Silver Pavilion itself. But, I must still visit the temple to see why is it not in silver!
